What is OrchestraCMS?
OrchestraCMS is a content management system (CMS) that is native to the Salesforce platform. It is a managed package that must be installed into a Salesforce Org. Once installed and configured, it can be used to:
- Author and edit content
- Author and edit pages
- Store and manage media
OrchestraCMS can service a variety of use cases including but not limited to:
- Managing the content using lightning components in a Salesforce community
- Managing pages, content and media in a Salesforce community, Force.com site or Intranet
- Serving content to off platform services or applications using OrchestraCMS APIs
OrchestraCMS uses page and content templates to empower non-technical users to manage the content of your site using clicks, not code.
Terminology:
- Pages are equivalent to HTML files
- Content means the elements that make up what a visitor sees on a page; e.g. Menus, text, carousels, etc.
- Media means images and any files offered for download
