OrchestraCMS Sites
The differences between a website, intranet, community, and portal are based on what types of users access the site and how they access it.
Public website. A public website does not require users to sign in; anyone can visit the website and access content.
Intranet. An intranet is only available for internal users, such as employees, and requires them to sign in to Salesforce to access the site. Any Salesforce user who can login to https://login.salesforce.com should be able to access an OrchestraCMS Intranet.
Community. A community requires users to sign in to access content and can be used by a mix of internal users, partner users, and customer users. This would include any user assigned a license allowing them to login to either a Salesforce Community Login or directly into https://login.salesforce.com.
Portal. A portal requires users to sign in to access content and is used by either customer users or partner users, depending on the type of portal. This is a legacy site type and is no longer offered by Salesforce.
